Hyco 0.2: Accounts, Profiles & Community Features

Hyco 0.2 is here! 🎉

This update is an important step for Hytale-Community. Until now, the website was mostly focused on bringing you the latest Hytale news. With 0.2, we’re starting to build the community features that will power the rest of the platform.

Create your Hyco account

You can now create your own Hyco account!

Alongside traditional account creation, we’ve added Sign in with Hytale, allowing you to create your Hyco account directly using your Hytale account.

Once logged in, you’ll have your own user profile, where you can upload a custom avatar or simply use your current Hytale avatar. (More to come soon)

We’ve also added the moderation tools needed to support the community as it grows, including a user ban system.

Comments & reactions

Hyco is becoming more interactive.

You can now comment on news articles and join discussions with other members of the community. You can also react to both articles and comments, making it easier to participate even when you don’t have anything to add to the conversation.

This is only the beginning of the social features we want to bring to Hyco.

Pages, guides & tutorials

We’ve introduced a new page system alongside our existing news and blog content.

It will allow us to create more permanent resources such as Hytale guides, tutorials and reference pages that can evolve over time instead of being tied to the news cycle.

Expect to see this part of Hyco grow considerably in future updates.

Improvements behind the scenes

0.2 also includes plenty of work you won’t necessarily see.

We’ve fixed several bugs, improved our internal tools and administration features, and added additional security measures across the platform.

A lot of this work lays the foundations for what’s coming next.
