These Terms of Use ("Terms") define the rules governing access to and use of Hyco, its features, content, and services.
By accessing Hyco or creating an account, you agree to comply with these Terms.
1. About Hyco
Hyco is an independent community platform dedicated to Hytale.
Hyco's purpose is, in particular, to enable its community to read news and editorial content, discuss Hytale, comment on posts, interact with other members and, over time, access various content, tools, and resources related to the Hytale ecosystem.
The features offered by Hyco may evolve as the platform develops.
Hyco is an independent project and is not published, operated, or officially endorsed by Hypixel Studios.
Trademarks, logos, illustrations, screenshots, and other elements relating to Hytale belong to their respective owners.

3. Access to the service
Hyco's public content can generally be viewed without creating an account.
Some features do, however, require authentication, including posting comments, reactions, managing a profile, or any other community feature that requires a user to be identified.
Hyco may change the features available to visitors and members.
Access to the service requires an Internet connection and compatible equipment. The costs associated with these remain the user's responsibility.
4. Creating and using an account
When a feature requires a Hyco account, the user agrees to provide the information necessary for the service to operate and not to impersonate a third party.
The user is responsible for the use of their account and must take reasonable precautions to prevent its use by an unauthorized person.
If fraudulent access or compromise of the account is suspected, the user is encouraged to contact Hyco as soon as possible.
A user must not create or use multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing a sanction, restriction, or moderation measure.
5. Signing in with a Hytale account
Hyco may offer a feature allowing users to sign in or link their account using the official Sign in with Hytale.
This feature relies on the authentication system provided by the Hytale ecosystem.
Use of a Hytale account remains subject to the terms applicable to the corresponding service.
Hyco does not have access to the password for the user's Hytale account.
Linking a Hyco account to a Hytale identity does not mean that Hypixel Studios endorses, sponsors, or operates Hyco.
Hyco may also allow the user to unlink their Hytale account where technical and security constraints permit.
6. Rules of conduct
Hyco is a community space. Every user must help maintain respectful and constructive interactions.
The following are prohibited in particular:
illegal content;
threats, harassment, or intimidation;
hateful or discriminatory statements, or content inciting violence;
clearly inappropriate or illegal sexual content;
publishing personal information about a third party without authorization;
impersonation;
spam and abusive repetitive or automated posts;
attempts to defraud, phish, or manipulate users;
links to malware or content intended to compromise a device or account;
attempts to exploit a Hyco security vulnerability;
conduct intended to deliberately disrupt operation of the service;
circumventing security, limitation, or moderation systems;
abusive automated use of Hyco;
content that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights;
any use of Hyco primarily intended to harm a user, Hyco, or a third party.
Disagreements, criticism, debate, and negative opinions do not in themselves violate these Terms, provided they remain within the limits set out above.
7. User-posted content
Users may post various types of content on Hyco, including comments, replies, reactions, text, images, links, resources, or other contributions depending on the available features.
The user remains responsible for the content they publish and warrants that they have the rights or permissions necessary to publish it.
The user retains any intellectual property rights they may hold in their content.
By posting content on Hyco, the user nevertheless grants Hyco a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, technically reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content only to the extent necessary for the operation, presentation, moderation, and reasonable promotion of the service.
This authorization ends when the content is deleted, subject to necessary technical delays, temporary backups, legal retention obligations, and situations where retaining certain information is necessary for security or the management of a dispute.
8. Comments and discussions
Hyco allows members, in particular, to comment on certain content and reply to other comments.
Users are encouraged to stay on topic and respect other participants.
A comment may be edited by its author as long as it has not been deleted or made inaccessible.
When a comment is deleted by its author or removed by moderation, Hyco may retain its place in the discussion to preserve the coherence of replies.
In this case, the original content may be replaced by a notice such as:
"This comment was deleted by its author"
or:
"This comment was deleted by a moderator."
Certain technical information relating to the comment may be retained where necessary for operation of the service, prevention of abuse, or compliance with legal obligations.
9. Moderation
Hyco may moderate content and conduct that do not comply with these Terms or applicable law.
Depending on the nature, severity, repetition, and context of the conduct observed, Hyco may in particular:
remove or make content inaccessible;
limit certain features;
temporarily prevent the publication of new content;
issue a warning;
temporarily suspend an account;
permanently suspend an account;
prevent the creation of new accounts where a user seeks to circumvent a sanction.
Where appropriate and technically possible, Hyco may inform the user concerned of the measure taken and the reason for it.
Hyco may take necessary measures immediately when content or conduct poses a risk to the security of the service, its users, or a third party.
Moderation may be carried out manually or using automated mechanisms intended, in particular, to detect spam, abusive behavior, or security risks.
10. Reporting content
Hyco may provide users with a mechanism for reporting content or conduct that may violate these Terms or applicable law.
Reports must be made in good faith.
Abuse of the reporting system, including for the purpose of harassing a user or artificially obtaining the removal of legitimate content, may itself be subject to moderation measures.
Hyco reviews reports taking into account, in particular, their nature, severity, and the information available.
The fact that content is reported does not automatically result in its removal.
11. Challenging a moderation decision
If a user believes a moderation decision concerning their content or account is incorrect, they may contact Hyco to request a review.
The request must identify the decision concerned and may include any information useful for its review.
Hyco may confirm, modify, or reverse the initial decision after review.
Requests that are clearly abusive, repetitive, or intended to disrupt moderation operations may not be processed.
12. Community resources
Hyco may offer features allowing users or creators to publish or share Hytale-related resources, including assets, maps, models, textures, sounds, guides, tools, or other creations.
The author of a resource remains responsible for its content and must hold all rights necessary for its distribution.
In particular, the author is responsible for complying with the licenses of the elements they use and the intellectual property rights of third parties.
Hyco may remove or make inaccessible a resource that is the subject of a sufficiently substantiated notice concerning an infringement of rights or that violates these Terms.
Additional terms may apply if Hyco later introduces commercial features, premium content, or a marketplace.
13. Hyco intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, Hyco's structure and the elements created specifically for the service, including its visual identity, proprietary software developments, interface, and original editorial content, are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.
Any substantial reproduction or reuse of these elements outside the exceptions provided by law requires authorization from their rights holder.
Content originating from Hytale, Hypixel Studios, or third parties remains the property of its respective owners.
14. Editorial content
Hyco publishes news, analyses, guides, and other content about Hytale and its ecosystem.
Hyco endeavors to provide reliable and up-to-date information but does not guarantee that it is free from errors or information that has become outdated.
Some publications may, in particular, be based on announcements, public statements, development versions, previews, or information that may change.
Hyco's editorial content does not constitute official communications from Hypixel Studios unless it explicitly reproduces or cites an official source.
15. Translations
Hyco is available in several languages.
Some content may be translated from a source language.
Despite the care taken with translations, differences in wording or interpretation may exist between language versions.
When Hyco indicates that a particular version is the original version of editorial content, that version may be used as a reference in the event of ambiguity regarding the translation.
For these Terms, the French version is the reference version.
16. External links and services
Hyco may contain links to third-party sites or services, including Hytale-related services, social networks, community platforms, creator websites, or external resources.
These services are operated independently of Hyco and may have their own terms of use and privacy policies.
Hyco does not exercise general control over these third-party services.
However, Hyco may remove a link when it becomes aware that it is clearly unlawful or dangerous.
17. Security
It is prohibited, without prior authorization, to attempt to:
circumvent authentication or authorization mechanisms;
access data the user is not authorized to access;
actively scan or test infrastructure for malicious purposes;
exploit a vulnerability;
deliberately cause an overload or interruption of the service;
inject malicious code;
compromise another user's account.
A vulnerability discovered in good faith must be reported to Hyco without exploiting it beyond what is strictly necessary to establish its existence.
Hyco reserves the right to take immediate measures to protect its infrastructure and users in the event of a security threat.
18. Service availability
Hyco is a service under continuous development.
Hyco endeavors to ensure reasonable availability of the service but does not guarantee continuous or error-free operation.
The service may be temporarily interrupted, including for maintenance, updates, technical incidents, security issues, or events beyond Hyco's control.
Certain features may also be modified, replaced, or removed.
19. Limitation of liability
Hyco is responsible for its own activities within the limits provided by applicable law.
However, Hyco cannot guarantee the accuracy of all content published by its users or by third-party services.
Hyco cannot be held liable for content published by a user in situations where applicable law provides for limited liability of the service provider, including for as long as Hyco does not have actual knowledge of its unlawful nature and acts promptly when intervention is legally required.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
20. Personal data
Use of Hyco may require the processing of personal data.
The categories of data processed, their purposes, retention periods, applicable legal bases, and the rights available to users are detailed in Hyco's Privacy Policy of Hyco.
Users may, depending on the circumstances provided for by applicable regulations, have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, or portability of their data.
21. Cookies and audience measurement
Hyco may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for operation of the service.
Other technologies, particularly those intended for audience measurement, may be used in accordance with the choices expressed by the user and applicable regulations.

22. Account deletion
A user may request deletion of their account using the features made available by Hyco.
Deleting the account may result in deletion or anonymization of the data associated with it, subject to information whose retention remains necessary due to a legal obligation, service security, abuse prevention, or management of a dispute.
The handling of public contributions already incorporated into discussions may be adapted to preserve their coherence, in compliance with applicable regulations.
23. Changes to Hyco
Hyco may evolve rapidly.
New features may be introduced, including in relation to profiles, comments, reactions, community resources, Hytale servers, creator tools, or premium services.
Some of these features may be subject to specific terms that supplement these Terms.
In the event of a conflict, the specific terms applicable to a feature will prevail only for that feature.
24. Changes to these Terms
Hyco may amend these Terms to take account, in particular, of changes to the service, its features, regulations, or moderation practices.
The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the document.
Where a material change affects the rights or obligations of users with an account, Hyco may inform them by an appropriate means before or when it takes effect.
25. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory provisions that may apply to the user due to their place of residence.
In the event of a difficulty, the user is encouraged to contact Hyco to seek an amicable solution before any legal proceedings.
The competent courts are determined in accordance with applicable legal rules.
